Find tips and remedies to help your baby through the croup cough. What is Croup Cough? The croup cough is a cough that has a very clear symptom when you’re baby has a very low sounding cough sounding similar to a seal. Everyone says this is a symptom and you won’t know you’re baby has croup cough, until they actually do get the croup cough symptoms such as the cough sounding like seal and you will know that it’s most likely the croup cough. It’s always a good tip to take your baby to the doctor and get him or her checked out by a professional to ensure that your baby has croup cough. They say to not be overly concerned about croup cough as it’s a common cough for many babies and it can be highly contagious and spread from baby to baby in the neighborhood. Most of the time, croup cough will only last for a few days and then subside. Here are some tips and remedies and help on dealing with the croup cough which can be scary and definitely something you should keep a close eye on as a parent.

Tips for your baby when he or she has the croup cough:

- Get a cool mist humidifier as soon as possible if you don’t have one. Put that humidifier on as much as possible around your baby, especially during his or her nap time and bed time. Let the humidifier stay on a and always keep your humidifier clean and ready for use to help your baby with their croup cough.

- Another tip is to try steam from the shower with your baby. Loosening up that cough is important and sometimes the steam in the bathroom can help when tried intermittently.

- Get your baby lots of fluids, plenty of water, apple juice, and vitamins. Just like when you have a cold or a cough, you want a ton of fluids to get you through it and it’s no different for your baby. Getting them tons of fluids and vitamin c apple juice and water is a good idea to help them recover faster.

- Give them lots of love. You’re baby may be super cranky when he or she has the croup cough and it’s scary and can’t be painful for the baby as when they cough it can cause pain in their throat with soreness and also a horse voice, so staying calm and giving them love through this cough and any other sickness is a good idea.

- Cool night’s air. Be careful and weary of air condition and some people have dressed their baby in warm clothes and take them outside to breathe the cool night’s air which is much better than the indoor air conditioning for their cough.

- The best tip for any cough, especially croup is to keep a close eye on your baby and if you feel it’s getting worse, you’re baby continues to run a fever, you’re baby is having trouble breathing or wheezing or anything else that may alarm you as a parent, be sure to get your baby checked out by a medical professional.

Hope these tips for the croup cough we’re helpful and good luck with the health care of your baby and your family.

The age old questions with your little baby or toddler is how to handle certain behavior problems. If your toddler is acting up, we have some good tips to help you through the tough times and get your toddler acting on good behavior to make all the parents impressed and get you on the A list for all the teachers at the pre-school or elementary school. First of all, don’t think you’re alone as every parent has to deal with their problems in some way shape or form so dealing with and handling toddler mis-behavior is a normal part of becoming a parent and it’s not abnormal to feel like you’re going crazy. But just stay calm and try some of these tips to help you through the tough times in the terrible two’s or just the toddler stage when your child is acting up, throwing tantrums, won’t brush his or her teeth or other toddler problems in their behavior that needs to be corrected before it gets out of hand.

If you’re child is getting aggressive, here are some tips to deal with aggression and bad behavior among your toddler. Your child may bite, hit, and scream at your or other children and it’s important to keep calm. Don’t yell or raise the aggression back to your child in anyway. Some tips are to set limits, exercise calm discipline, reward good behaviors and teach your children the right way to do things. For example, if your child is biting your, teach your child to kiss, not bite and you may steer your child from a trouble maker to love giving child.

If you’re child is pulling your air or getting worse with their aggression. A good tip to correct the behavior could be a time out. Time out is where you force you’re child to stay in one place with out their favorite items such as toys, tv, and other items they hold dear, until they realize their wrong doings and you can correct the course so you’re toddler doesn’t want to go through a time out again. Talk to your child eye to eye and explain to them why they can’t pursue this behavior or they will need to take a time out.

If your baby is throwing a tantrums a lot or your toddler is acting up. Keep an eye on what is causing the tantrums, you may be able to correct the tantrum before it happens and it may because your baby is stressed out, hungry, tired, or any of the usual symptoms so the better you learn your babies symptoms that may lead to a tantrum, the better you will be at making sure the tantrums don’t happen.

Find some good tips when your baby is fighting his or her naps during naptime in the middle of the day. Getting your baby on a proper nap schedule each and every day is one of the hardest things to do as a parent, nanny, or babysitter. Babies grow up so fast and they are constantly changing and needing less and less time to sleep during the day. They also can’t always tell you when they’re tired and they can get over tired very easily. Sometimes being over-tired makes them giddy and fun, only to learn when you try to put them down in the crib for a nap, they will scream for as long as it takes until you get them out of the crib, and then the baby will be happy but will stay cranky because they are tired.

When you’re baby is a newborn, a good tip is put your baby down to sleep around 1 hour to 1 and half hours after they eat, and when they are a little older as it 10 months to 15 months, many parents shoot for one morning nap and also one afternoon. After 15 months, you’re baby may only need 1 nap during the day and then eventually eliminating the nap completely.

One of the best tips to keep your baby from fighting your naps is to stick to the same routine as bed time before their nap. That way they get tired and the baby knows it’s time to go to sleep. It’s also a good tip and idea to put your baby to nap in the same place where he or she goes to sleep at night. Having your baby nap on the couch while watching TV or in your bed with you is not a great way to create good habits.

Sometimes it’s going to be tough to get your baby to nap at the same time each and in the same place. Therefore, it’s ok to have your baby nap in other places such as the stroller or the car if you need to be on the go and can’t get back home to put the baby to nap in the crib. Just do your best to try to stick to the nap schedule and nap the baby in the crib or where they sleep at night as much as possible so they are used to that and become more comfortable with the nap schedule as opposed to fighting every nap.

Don’t be afraid of your baby crying for a little bit. It’s ok if your baby cries for a couple minutes when you put them down to nap in the morning or afternoon. Keep and eye or ear on the crying through a baby monitor and if the crying persists for too long, it might not be the best time to nap your baby. But do your best to let them cry as they will most likely cry themselves into a long nap.

In the end, you will know your baby the best and know your babies cues when they want to nap, are very tired, getting over tired so try different things until you find some consistency in a nap schedule that works for your and your baby stops fighting his or naps and naptime.

It’s natural for your baby to start throwing tantrums when they start to transition from being a baby into a toddler. Many babies can start throwing tantrums at the age of 1 and highly likely to start around 16-18 months and can get worse in the terrible two’s. There are many tips to help you deal with tantrums, however, each baby is different and throws tantrums for different reasons. Therefore, as a parent you would know best how to treat or handle your babies tantrums better than anyone else. Here are some tips for dealing with Tantrums. Try to divert your babies attention to something else, we’ve found that by diverting the babies attention to something different as a toy, car, dog, or anything your baby knows and likes can immediately stop a tantrum. Some babies will bite you and get very frustrated arching their back in a tantrum and it’s important to not raise the level of excitement by yelling or screaming, remaining calm is always a good way to go and try to explain to your baby why they can’t bite and instead they should give you kisses. This way they change their biting associated with the tantrum and hopefully learn something new and good and use that instead of the biting.

Babies will try to show them that they are boss, and it’s important that you are smart about showing them you are boss. Many people will tell you to hold your baby down and force them to do what you want them to do, and that is in the hands of each individual parent. For example, if your baby won’t brush his teeth or refuses to allow you to brush his teeth and subsequently throws a major tantrum and screaming fest, you still need to brush their teeth no matter what and you can’t let your baby win, so creating a brushing routine and getting your baby used brushing at each time is a good tip. However, you may to hold your baby down and brush until they understand that brushing is not a bad thing and maybe it’s something that can enjoyable for them with all the good tasting tooth paste for kids and babies nowadays.

Hope these tips were helpful when your baby throws a tantrum and feel free to add comments of your tips that have helped you through your baby throwing tantrums, screaming, scratching, biting, in the baby and the toddler stage.

Is your baby trying to walk to before he or she can crawl? Here some tips and things to look out for when your baby is attempting to walk before his or her crawl. First thing to note is that it’s completely normal for your baby to starting walking before they ever crawl. Many babies skip crawling entirely and just go straight to walking. It’s not abnormal and your baby will fine. Below are some tips and advice for dealing with your exci0ed baby who wants to walk right away:

1) Invest in Walking Wings or a product that will help your baby walk sooner. If your finding that all your baby wants to do is get up and walk and is getting very frustrated not being able to crawl, then you are probably constantly picking them up to help them walk and watch over them like any normal parent would do. This is going to take it’s toll on your back and investing in walking wings is great because now you can stand up straight and walk with your baby and this will help him walk and free up his arms so he can grab things and explore! Just make sure your walking wings are always properly secured before you start walking and it’s important that your baby is already trying to stand and has some leg support and strength in his legs so you are not forcing him or her to walk when using walking wings. We definitely recommend walking wings for babies who are trying to walk before they can crawl.

2) Don’t force your baby to crawl. This will be a frustrating thing for your baby and yourself and you can force your baby to crawl if he or she just want to go straight to walking. A good way to entice crawling is too sometimes crawl with him to show him how to do it. Make it a game where you crawl around they feel it’s fun to crawl and do it without thinking about it. Or leave his or her favorite toy a few feet away from them and see that will get them to start trying to crawl to it. We’ve seen examples of babies who will crawl when your not there, but when your around, they will just look up at you to help them up to walk. So sometimes, leaving the toy for your baby to crawl too and then leaving the room but still watching in a safe environment, on a soft rug or soft carpet may help them start to crawl. For boys a car that runs on it’s on can help them over the hump and chase after it by crawling when they don’t even know they are doing.

3) If you are trying to have your baby crawl… or just to ease the frustration for babies that can’t crawl. We recommend a lot of floor time. Have him or her spend as much time on the floor without your guidance as possible. This starts when they are very little and with tummy time and all the way through their first birthday until they can walk.

4) Be aware as if your baby is getting up on their own before they can crawl, it’s likely they may take more falls such as face planting, falling forward, sideways, and other directions that they may not have done if they were crawling first. Therefore, a little more supervision until your baby starts walking and is comfortable on their is definitely something you should look into. Also, make sure to lower your mattress in the crib at the right time to ensure your baby can’t pull themselves out. We have heard way too many stories of babies pulling themselves out of cribs and needed to get a net. Don’t encourage or even show your baby standing in the crib and practice their standing in other rooms against other objects than the crib. You don’t want your baby to associate standing with the crib as that is where they can roll around (occasionally sit up) which is not encouraged either in the crib. The crib is the designated place for sleep so be sure to lower mattress to the point where they can’t pull themselves at in a early stage especially for the babies that go straight to walking early and can pull themselves up quicker than other babies.

Here are some things that can cause babies to try and walk before they crawl. Some parents have told us that encouraging their babies to stand up by holding their hands at any early age will teach them to use your hands to stand up and ultimately lean on you to help them stand up. Some good advice and tips for you and your baby is try and let them learn by guiding them on their own and through natural progression. Teaching a baby the wrong tools can lead to them going around the natural progressions, which is not always a bad thing, it can just cause some frustration at times for baby, mommy, and daddy. Ultimately, your baby will figure it out in time.

Below are some baby tips for teething. Teething on your baby will a major part or painful part of your babies first year of life. All babies go through the process of growing teeth and it’s easier for some babies then others. There are many signs of teething and it can even wake your baby up at night with crying and grabbing for their mouth.

If you are having trouble with Baby Teething, try using baby orajel on your babies gums and teeth. There is also a product for baby orajel at night. This can temporary relieve your babies teething pain and put them back to sleep. However, many babies will not like the taste of orajel. A good product is baby teething tablets which will dissolve in your babies mouth and help them with their teething. With our babies, we decided to surround them with tons of teething toys to help me chew on the toys as opposed to their hands! Chewing on the teething toys is much better than your baby chewing on toys that aren’t meant for teething and could cause them more pain or have your baby end up crying from biting a toy that is not meant for teething. If your baby is in a lot of pain from teething and you can’t get your baby to sleep because they are consistently grabbing their mouth, drooling, and swishing around with their teeth, you can try some tylenol to relieve the pain and hopefully get you and your baby some sleep.

Teething is never easy, but with the proper products and consistency, you can limit the effect on you and your baby and it make it a little easier for your baby as their teeth start to develop in their mouth.

Good luck with your teething toys, teething tablets, and orajel and hopefully your baby has no problems with the introduction of his/her new teeth!

Crib bumpers and crib sets are very popular when you visit Babies R’ US and many baby stores. Baby bedding is an essential part of your babies life and is an important tool for preventing SIDS. SIDS means Sudden Infant Death Syndrome and can be caused by suffocation while the baby sleeps at night.During the ages of 2-6 months, Babies are more prone to SIDS. The best baby tips to preventing SIDS, which hospitals and doctors recommend is to put babies to sleep in their cribs with no blankets, baby bumpers, or anything else.

However, without crib bumpers, babies hit their heads on the crib rails and get feet stuck in the crib sides. Still the risk of SIDS outweighs the potential injury from banging the babies head on the crib railings.

Our Baby Tip is try Crib Bumpers that are mesh and breathable. Most Crib Bumpers can be thick pads and limit the amount of airflow into the crib. We would recommend the Breathable Baby Bumpers to test as they are more breathable than the thick pad Baby Bumpers. Still there is an increased risk with and crib bumpers, however, if you need bumpers to help your baby and you to get more sleep and you feel it’s a must, then breathable baby bumpers is a good start These breathable crib bumpers are very inexpensive.

Another baby tip is get the Summer baby monitor with video as it provides live infra red video in the night time and sound to ease your worries about Crib Bumpers

When introducing your baby to solid foods, baby oatmeal is a good option. With our newborn, we tried to feed the baby rice cereal many times with no luck! After these many attempts, we finally moved over to Oatmeal after confirmation from the doctors that Oatmeal is good option. The baby is 4.5 months and we have enjoyed experiencing the baby eating with a spoon for the first time. The Oatmeal has a different texture and it’s enjoyable for the baby as well. Some tips that may help you, in which we learned along the way are as follows.

If your baby doesn’t like Rice Cereal, feel free to try Oatmeal as that may be a better texture and taste for your baby.

Try not to feed your baby the Oatmeal or Rice Cereal in the same spot as where you feed your baby a bottle or breast feed your baby. If you do, your baby may get upset as they will be look for a breast feed or they will look for their bottle and get upset when you try to feed them anything other than that. Babies are creatures of habit.

Stay Persistent and keep up your feeding with a spoon each and every day. Don’t give up and stay persistent as your baby will get the hang of it eventually!

Encourage your baby by smiling, playing 1,2,3, making airplane sounds and make the feeding time a fun experience for both you and your baby.

Oatmeal has tons of nutrients for your baby. It’s high in fiber, calcium, protein and B vitamins. Real Oats are better than instant oatmeal and retain more of the nutritious vitamins. While we started feeding our baby around 4 months with Oatmeal, remember solid foods start at 6 months. If you are trying to feed your baby no gluten, then you may want to try something other than oatmeal as it can contain gluten.

When selecting Oatmeal, you should choose steel cut oats and store in a very dry place, and not a place that is very hot and in the sun.

If your baby doesn’t like Oatmeal, you must remember that they may not like the actual spoon, so giving them the spoon the play with can help your baby with Baby Oatmeal. You must supervise your baby when they have a spoon but allowing your baby to test things on their own may open them up to the process of eating with a spoon!

Good luck with your baby eating solids and starting with Rice Cereal or Baby Oatmeal.
